ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Admissions to the college for MBA and MCA programs are conducted in accordance with the rules and guidelines prescribed by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), Government of Telangana, through the state-level common entrance test (TS ICET).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:

1. Master of Business Administration (MBA):
The minimum qualification for admission to the MBA course is a pass in any recognized Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examination. Admissions are based on merit in TS ICET.

2. Master of Computer Applications (MCA):
The candidate should have passed BCA / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree, OR passed B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories). Admissions are based on merit in TS ICET.

70% Category-A (Convener Quota): Allotted based on merit ranking in the Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) conducted by the Govt. of Telangana.

30% Category-B (Management / NRI Quota): Earmarked for Management / NRI candidates as per the guidelines of TSCHE.

INFRASTRUCTURE

THE AVANTHI DEGREE AND PG COLLEGE(MBA) IS HOUSED IN A SPACIOUS BUILDING.

• The classrooms are equipped with ICTteaching aids to promote positive learning environment, a big Seminar Hall with modern audio-visual aids.


• To provide expertise through learning advanced courses in various streams of mechanical engineering to pursue higher studies and research.


• The air-conditioned computer laboratories are equipped with wired and wireless internet. The college is a Wi Fi enabled campus. Electrical power generators and UPS are available for requirements during power failures, ensuring uninterrupted activities.


• The college campus has a canteen promptly caters delicious and nutritious food prepared in a hygienic environment to all the students and staff. Cool RO purified water for drinking is available. The canteen is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m on all working days.


• The college encourages various sports facility and management games to the students within the campus. Various sports competitions are organized among students to develop interpersonal relationship and team spirit among students. Students are provided with honour like medal, trophies and certificates.

Academics excel only when teaching fraternity uses state of art courseware in imparting course curriculum to the students. In this context we are proud to say that our faculty is encouraged to use latest teaching aids like OHP, LCD Projector and internet connectivity. At our campus we have well spacious and ventilated seminar hall accommodating 175 to 200 students with audio-visual aid, OHP and LCD facilities available to conduct regular orientation programmes like extension lectures, guest lectures, personality development classes, e-class etc.

AVANTHI FOOD COURT

Canteen is not just the place where you go to eat. Especially in colleges and institutes of education this place is an open arena for debate, argumentative sessions on different issues, cracking gossips, kidding and having loads of fun with cutlets, burgers, tea, coffee and coke in between as gap fillers. At Avanthi we provide the similar environment at our food court for the students to refresh their minds

The college provides CBCS learning platform to the students with a flexibility to choose their course from a list of elective, core and soft skill courses. The faculty imparts information to the students via lectures, assigned readings, audio/visual presentations, demonstrations, role playing. The students gain information primarily by listening, taking notes, doing role plays, and practicing. Guest lectures, workshops, seminars and debates are organized by industry experts in various disciplines to gain knowledge and academic goals.The students are encouraged to involve in group discussions, JAM session, paper presentations, poster presentations, business quiz to develop critical thinking and interpersonal skills. Industrial visits are organized to gain practical knowledge about industry.

GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL

As suggested by University Grant Commission, New Delhi, the college has established a Grievance Redressal Cell, to provide a mechanism for redressal of student’s grievances and ensure the transparency and prevention of harassment and unfair practices. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the Grievance Redressal Cell members in person. In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox/ suggestion box of the Grievance Cell at Administrative Office. Grievances may also be sent through e-mail to the officer in-charge of the Cell.

OBJECTIVES:

The objective of the Grievance cell is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute. The Grievance Cell is constituted for the redressal of the problems reported by the Students of the college.

Upholding the dignity of the college by ensuring strife free atmosphere in the college through promoting cordial Student-Student relationship and Student-teacher relationship etc. conducted by Govt. of Telengana.

Encouraging the students to express their grievances freely and frankly, without any fear of being victimized.

Suggestion/compliant Box is installed in front of the Administrative Block in which the students, who want to remain anonymous, put in writing their grievances and their suggestions for improving the Academics/Administration in the College.

Advising students of the college to respect the right and dignity of one another and show utmost restraint and patience whenever any occasion of rift arises

Advising all the students to refrain from inciting students against other students, teachers and college administration.

Advising all staffs to be affectionate to the students and not behave in a vindictive manner towards any of them for any reason.

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in and outside the institution. Any violation of ragging and disciplinary rules should be urgently brought to the notice of the Principal.

MECHANISM FOR REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES OF STUDENTS AND STAFF:

The cell will deal with Grievances received in writing from the students about any of the following matters:-

Non academic

Grievance related to assessment

Grievance related to victimization

Grievance related to attendance

Grievance related to charging of fees

Grievance regarding conducting the Examinations

Grievance related to any kind of sexual harrasment

The Grievance Redressal Cell conduct meetings periodically and takes steps to redress the grievances.

PROCEDURE FOR LODGING COMPLIANT:

The students may feel free to put up a grievance in writing/ or in the format available in the admin dept and drop it in boxes.

The Grievance Cell will act upon those cases which have been forwarded along with the necessary documents.

The Grievance Cell will assure that the grievance has been properly solved in a stipulated time limit provided by the cell.
